Chief Financial Officer(CFO)
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Strategy & Leadership
• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
• Provide sound financial guidance to support expansion into food distribution and restaurant divisions.
• Lead and mentor the finance team across multiple business units.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance
• Prepare and present quarterly financial reports and strategic financial plans to the Board of Directors.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.
• Banking & Treasury Management
• Negotiate financing facilities and manage relationships with local and international banks.
• Optimize working capital, liquidity, and treasury operations.
• Supplier & Vendor Relations
• Negotiate supplier payment terms, manage trade finance, and ensure cost-effective procurement strategies.
• Support supplier credit evaluations and partnership structuring.
• Risk Management
• Identify financial risks and implement robust internal controls across all operations.
• Lead compliance for financial audits and internal risk assessments.
• Business Expansion Support
• Conduct financial feasibility studies for new ventures (food, hospitality, and others).
• Assist in M&A evaluations, joint ventures, and franchise opportunities where applicable.
• Government Liaison
• Liaise directly with the National Bureau of Revenue (NBR) and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to address regulatory requirements and find solutions to any market or operational challenges the company may face.
• Stay updated on taxation, licensing, and regulatory changes that may impact the business and propose appropriate action plans.
• Operational Efficiency
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in finance operations, ERP systems, and reporting tools.
• Implement KPIs and dashboards to monitor financial health across divisions.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (Master’s Degree or CPA/ACCA is preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in senior financial leadership roles.
• Experience working with or leading finance teams in tobacco, FMCG, hospitality, or food sectors is a strong advantage.
• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated success in bank negotiations and vendor/supplier management.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, taxation, and corporate governance in Bahrain/GCC.
• Experience with ERP systems implementation (Oracle, SAP, or similar) preferred.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on, practical management style.
