We are hiring for a leading banking client in Dubai looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their data and analytics team.

If you have 10+ years of experience in the Big Data ecosystem, are hands-on with Hadoop, Spark, Java, Python, Hive, and have experience leading backend or distributed data systems teams, this opportunity could be the perfect fit.

Location: Dubai, UAE (Only candidates currently residing in UAE will be considered)

Availability: Within 30 days. Immediate joiners highly preferred.

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years in big data engineering
• Extensive hands-on experience with the Hadoop Stack (MapReduce, HDFS, Pig, Hive, HBase, Sqoop, NoSQL – Cassandra, etc.)
• Strong Java, MapReduce, Hive skills
• Experience leading backend/distributed data systems teams
• Skilled in stream processing (e.g., Spark Streaming, Storm)
• Proficient in Python, Scala, advanced SQL, performance tuning
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, Cassandra)
• Banking industry experience
• Azure cloud experience is a plus
• Strong communication and team management skills
