Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager (Site) will be responsible for overseeing the full on-site delivery of projects, ensuring that construction works are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires a proactive and experienced leader with strong technical expertise, capable of managing complex, multidisciplinary projects while ensuring full compliance with Dubai’s regulatory and authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Site Leadership & Project Execution
- Oversee and manage all day-to-day on-site activities across all project disciplines.
- Supervise and coordinate contractors and consultants to ensure adherence to approved designs, schedules, and quality standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and resolve technical or operational issues that may impact project delivery.
Construction Management
- Develop, update, and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Ensure proper sequencing, coordination, and resource allocation across all trades.
- Manage handover processes, including snag list completion and as-built documentation.
Quality, Health & Safety
- Enforce strict compliance with QHSE standards and site safety protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox meetings.
- Ensure materials and workmanship meet both client and company quality expectations.
Authority & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with Dubai authorities (DDA, DM, RERA, Trakhees, Civil Defense, DEWA, etc.) to obtain project approvals and NOCs.
- Lead progress and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Prepare detailed weekly and monthly reports highlighting project progress, schedule, cost, and quality performance.
Cost & Resource Management
- Monitor and control site budgets, contractor claims, and variation orders.
- Ensure effective utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Support procurement and logistics planning for site operations.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, guide, and mentor project engineers, site supervisors, and coordinators.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 12 years of experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE working with a consultancy or developer.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments in Dubai.
- In-depth knowledge of Dubai authority procedures, building codes, and approval processes.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and standard project reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or Chartered Engineer (CEng) are advantageous.
